Miami City Ballet debuts this week at Lincoln Center under the direction of former New York City Ballet Principal Dancer Lourdes Lopez, now artistic director of the Miami City Ballet. The company, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary season, is known for its exquisite Balanchine work. This also marks Lourdes’ first return to Lincoln Center since she left as principal dancer under George Balanchine. The company will perform Justin Peck’s Heatscape, which MCB commissioned and premiered last spring.
Event: Miami City Ballet is a presentation of The Joyce Theater at Lincoln Center. Performances at the Koch Theatre run from April 13th - 17th. For tickets and performance times, visit their website.
